Planning ahead
·
Clear understanding regarding client’s
itinerary.
·
Checking the background of anyone who has
personal contact with the client, ensuring people have been verified to deal
with the client.
·
Thorough brief from the client about possible
threats and subsequent threat assessment.
·
Profiling, where required, either people or
groups identified to possibly cause harm to the client.
·
Research and intelligence gathering to
identify risk factors and creation of an operational plan for the client’s
protection.
Prepare for changes
·
Ensure any changes to the clients travel or
itinerary are managed in a timely manner.
·
Provision of a transport vehicle and driving
the client to and from their required destination.
·
Partner with client’s team to ensure any
changes concerning plans and schedules are managed in a professional, discreet
and efficient manner
·
Plan and reschedule throughout the day,
depending on plan changes.
Observing potential risks
·
Observe all surroundings while protecting a
client, such as checking exits and entrances as well as interacting with area
security personnel not part of the client’s security team.
·
Monitor or authorize entrances and departure
of employees, visitors and other persons to maintain security.
·
Circulating undercover among crowds to stay
alert of any potential problems, as required.
·
Discern any threat before they occur where
possible, remaining prepared to use training in use of firearms, combat and
reflex abilities to protect the client if the time arises.
Security duties
·
Security duties, as required (please refer to
relevant standard operating procedure).
·
Reporting daily activities or irregularities
in equipment or property damage.
·
Patrol industrial or commercial properties to
prevent or detect signs of impending problems for the client. Screening
individuals in a specific area where the client is about to approach.
·
Warning people about violations or rule
infractions on certain premises and inspecting or adjusting security systems.
·
Answering telephone calls, emails or taking
messages to provide information for the client.
