Security Guards

·         To keep the factory / site gate closed always.

·         To establish the identity of the employees entering the factory / site, by way of checking the identity cards.

·         To allow the visitors enter the factory / site only after the permission is obtained from the concerned departmental manager / executive.

·         To prepare visitor pass and log the timings (entry time and exit time) in the visitors register kept at the gate.

·         To ensure all visitors have exited the factory / site by closing hrs. And report the particulars of the visitors who are staying back even after the laid down timings.

·         To ensure all vehicles are parked in ready to drive out position.

·         To inform security officer / supervisor before leaving the place at the time of tea break, lunch break etc for replacing the security guards.

·         To maintain key box of all sections at the company.

·         To check all managers and employees for restricting beedi, cigarettes, paan masala etc. Inside of factory / site premises.

·         Physical verification of material going in/out at the gate as per gate pass.

·         Frisking and searching of employees/contractors/drivers and their baggage who are going out.

·         Controlling the movement of daily labour / employees in/out of the premises.

·         Up keep of electronic security gadgets/ surveillance system.

·         Security has a greater role in identifying the frauds and keeping management informed by covert intelligence.

·         Physical verification of stock in company central stores (random basis), canteen etc.

·         Security should have complete list of emergency support numbers / know the procedure of emergency evacuation/ coordinate in case of core members not available immediately etc.

·         Identify suspicious movements in and around factory / site premises.

·         Liaisons with local police & authorities to get immediate help.

·         Review of security policies and suggest changes, periodical auditing of security procedures & records to ensure compliance etc.

·         Guards should reach on duty on time or before 05-10 minutes and dress of guards should be well managed and proper.

·         Security guards should know the company’s fire fighting equipment’s and planning, including assembly point, in out& exits.

·         Security guards should not open gate before confirming from authorities concern of the company at night specially.
